Sectional flagpoles fit together with a seamless look, so it resembles a one piece pole. It’s more convenient than a one piece pole, but not as strong, and while slightly easier to store than a one piece, it takes up a lot of space.

Telescoping flagpoles have a twist and lock sleeve system to extend and collapse down fast. It tapers towards the end, which means it doesn’t have a seamless look. It has the strength of a sectional pole, but stores the easiest, and sets up faster.
